Careers: We're hiring

We're hiring

UNTOLD is a multi-award-winning brand storytelling and marketing agency specialising in drinks, food, hotels, travel, luxury and heritage. Our founders, Rob Cowen and Theo Cooper, bring together a combined 40 years of storytelling expertise, journalistic insight and marketing acumen.

As practising creatives, we don’t think like other agencies. We bring brands to life through authentic, resonant and inspiring storytelling that speaks to new and existing audiences, driving engagement and converting consumers. Nine awards for our work in 2022 speak of the success of our ethos and approach to quality, industry-leading marketing and storytelling.

We’re now looking for a new team member to support us, our clients and work and grow with us as our agency goes from strength to strength.

Why work with UNTOLD?

This is an exciting time for us. We want to share our excitement and knowledge with the right people who share our vision. We’re a tight-knit, hard-working team of perfectionists who hold each other to account and aim to produce exceptional, unbeatable work every time.

We’re looking for an ambitious, self-starting Senior Marketing Account Manager with bags of energy and creative flair. You’ll be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of our projects, and you’ll be someone who is keenly organised and self-motivated, with an upbeat ‘hands-on’ approach, ready to pick up projects and make them happen. The lion’s share of the role is in the day-to-day detail of delivering projects and keeping our clients well informed. We’re looking for someone who can balance these strong organisational and client-facing responsibilities with creative flair and who can support the creative side of our projects with practical skills. With that in mind, it would be great if you also share our passion for drinks, food, hotels, travel, luxury and heritage, and can demonstrate experience in everything from crafting copy to updating websites.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting the core team of directors
  • Managing client contact throughout new enquiries and projects
  • Providing accurate quotes and invoices to clients
  • Working on briefs and ensuring artwork processes adhere to brand guidelines and internal procedures
  • Researching to support pitches, filming, story creation, writer sourcing etc
  • Running productive working relationships internally and with contractors and suppliers
  • Writing reports about projects, costs, progress, etc
  • Awards entry writing
  • Helping create experiential events and influencer marketing

Person specification:

  • Ideally a senior account manager/director with robust and provable experience in a marketing/communications/PR agency (you could be returning to work after a career break or extended mat/paternity leave)
  • Experience in social media & community management
  • Experience in managing multi-channel projects – ideally including PR, advertising, print, online and film
  • Experience as a highly professional but warm and friendly client liaison at all levels of seniority essential
  • Generally creative
  • An eye for visual design would be beneficial, but not the design itself
  • An interest in culture, travel, food and drink and luxury goods
  • An understanding of how to report well, and the importance of reporting both internally and to our clients
  • An engaging personality who wants to join and contribute to a fantastic, lively team
  • Good knowledge of project management systems, from basic spreadsheets and timelines to more cloud/software-based solutions
  • Knowledge of operating CMS systems
  • An interest in the latest trends and technologies in the content, digital and social space. Changes happen every day and we pride ourselves on being out in front of them
  • Knowledge of video production and narrative film creation would be ideal, but it is not essential
  • Degree preferred, but not essential for the right candidate

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a superb business that provides a social and dynamic working culture. If you have the experience and skills outlined above, please send your CV immediately.

We’d love to meet you.
